Dear all
I am new on this forum just need help to restore my mac air as i tried all possible ways finally disk utility says it cant be done so when i go online to re download the osx software it says to sign in with apple id which was used in downloading osx as my previous id was hacked seven months before and i am signing in with my new id it is not accepting so what to do .

You may need the serial number to confirm your hardware that was used to purchase the software using the original password. I found another way to contact that starts on line then can get to a telephone conversation. Your original password can probably be updated to eflect the change. Alternately you can check with an Apple store near your location if possible.

You can get the Serial Number from the Apple menu if you are not sure where it is located on the Mac.
